Why choose us
Former South Africa president and Nobel Prize laureate Nelson Mandela once said that “Education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to transform a society”. I personally share Mandela’s sentiments that to positively change a community is best
achieved by equipping individuals with an education. However, the Kenyan education system places emphasis on high grades especially in Secondary school education often overlooking students that do not qualify to join universities. As a son of Embu County and a former alumnus of Strathmore College, I have always envisioned establishing a “Strathmore of Embu” as a way of giving back to the community that raised me. It is on this basis that I founded Embu College in 1995 to offer quality and affordable education for all. Nevertheless, while we are yet to measure up to the standards of Strathmore College, we have accomplished several milestone in our journey to become a leading provider of quality education in East Africa and by the look of things, the future seems quite promising.
As a parting shot I would like to kindly remind you that you are no longer under your parent’s watch in college, and the future is in your hands. Whatever you do; do it responsibly, take advantage of all resources that are at your disposal to upgrade your knowledge base and finally, remember to uphold discipline at all time. I therefore take this opportunity to thank everyone who has directly or indirectly contributed to what Embu College is today including all stakeholders as well as to welcome everyone to the Embu College fraternity. What Students Say
Fantastic! Great institution!
Something that I've come to appreciate about Embu College is its commitment to high academic achievement while also encouraging students to get involved in everything else Embu has to offer. I think this helps all students feel that when they come to leave College, they are graduating with much more than a class mark.
